Comparison of 3D Maps, in iOS 6 and on the Google
Earth in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Out there in the
marketplace of the tablet and the smart phone industry there is a strong
competition and the secrets are not a big deal now. The big giants like the
Apple and the Google with their operating systems, the iOS and the Android are
the top big league players presently in the world, the numbers itself speaks
for these two. As on each day the Google activates around 1 million android
devices and the Apple selling 250 million iPhones from past five years and with
the original launch of the new iPhone the numbers are still growing.
The latest
surprise from Apple at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2012 was the announcing
of its own mapping system in its iOS 6 new versions of iPhone and leaving out
the Google Maps. This has even made a very strong competition between the
rivals. But, Google put up a head on competition by announcing the new Google
Earth version 7.0, bringing amazing 3D maps to its Android smart phones and
tablets too. This 3D Map announcement was made in San Francisco, firstly by Apple and then
followed by Google.
Good options for
consumers as these two, iOS 6 and the Android operating systems making the
availability of 3D maps to the devices. But which one will be the best and we
all know about the Google Earth and Google Maps and used it once in a while or
even often and Apple introducing its own mapping system is new to this mapping
game and also consumers will be excited to see the Apple’s 3D maps, as Apple
has a history producing excellent user experience software. So, will its own 3D
maps solution meet the same trend?
The comparisons
are put up to view by people of iPhoneItalia to you to see the differences
between the two maps of the iOS 6 and Android 4.1 in the images below. First of
the difference is the Apple’s vector maps having a built in 3D button
displaying at the bottom and in the Android it is available in Google Earth app
or the Google Maps app and a simple tap on the “3D Buildings” button your into
viewing the 3D maps.
The other thing
is Apple’s 3D maps will be available in the iOS 6 new iPhone and the launch of
its new iPhone is due this year and it will be offering a beta version and not
ready for real-time use, so until then consumers need to still wait to see this.
And for the new 3D maps view in Android devices, Google has made it available
and is been planning it for long time so it’s a no surprise from Google but has
put up a good strong response.

Microsoft Windows 8 Vs Apple iOS 6 Vs Google Android Jelly 4.1 Bean Comparison
Most of us largely spend our time looking and customizing our smart phone Home Screens, making it more adorable for example like navigating the piles of icons, the widgets or arranging our apps and more over some home screens of devices like the Android or the iOS or any Windows flavoured, have tiles like icons where you can adjust their sizes too.
Windows 8 Vs iOS 6 Vs Android Jelly Bean
Looking at the Apple’s iOS home screens they have given us an option for customizing everything and this made smart phone makers realize simple app’s are now not a big market anymore and for the likes of Samsung and the HTC, customising their Androids will certainly make a difference and even Google has been improving its home screens and not far behind is the Microsoft with its new home screen stock, live tiles.
So, let’s see how these three giants, the Apple’s iOS 6, the Google’s Android 4.0, 4.1 and the Microsoft’s WP8 the smart phone market industries differ from each other. Yet to be released in public, a change between now and the software available will differentiate. But still let’s compare these latest versions for now, so are you ready then?
Firstly let’s see the iOS 6
This Apple’s iOS versions are the oldest compared to all the three top smart phones and it not only on just the iPhone but also in the iPad tablets. From 2007 year to till now Apple didn’t change largely its Home Screen. We know that it’s a bit harsh on the Apple’s developers but the truth is with out any major changes to its Home Screen its not a very big deal. In this unreleased iOS 6 the notifications are updated and are similar to the Notification Center of the Android, in where notifications can be turned On or off but with two new buttons. One of these two buttons gives quick access to users for sending or updating their status on the Twitter or the Facebook and other keeps to appraise your friends updates them what you are doing presently and is a “tap” away from your Apple iOS 6.
Whatever app or browser or any of the application page you are on the Apple iOS, the four standard icons are always seen and be present on the dock. More over moving and dropping the icons to similar folders, like putting all your gaming apps to one gaming named folder even keep all the social network apps in a single folder.
The Apple’s iOS is stubborn to not change its look for about a few years now and is missing updates that are important and like the Window Phone 8 arriving with colourful tiles and concept of live tiles is something for iOS to argue for it being little out dated. But compared to sales its not harming them and well WP’s market sale is not much, right?
About the Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean 4.1
Present Android version running is the Ice Cream Sandwich as it is the shiniest and the newest in top selling market. But, with the announcing of the new Android called the Jelly Bean set to be released at the Google I/O event. The Android has a collection of lots of icons in its home screen as similar to the iOS version, but android differs the ability of adding widgets to the home screen. Still has the ability where you can add
the weather notifications or the clocks or quick access of media streams or controlling your music too. There are tons of android widgets that suit your needs.
A feature that was first developed by Android was the pull-down drawer, where it shows and hosts your notifications, but the iOS version has it too and is slightly smarter compared to the android version. Arranging different icons and almost customizing your whole smart phone is just made easy for the users by the Android giving it a different home screen experience. Something either the iOS or the Windows Phone owners can do to their smart phones.
Finally let’s see about the Windows Phone 8, here we go then,
Fingers are crossed by Microsoft and Nokia as they are hoping their new Windows 8 Phone can be a hit for the users as it has been updated to a Windows Platform as the Nokia’s giant put all their chips in this Microsoft version, with backing its hardware up.
With the new “Live” tiles where customers can move or resize its tiles and one more thing is its all done on one screen of the Windows 8 Phone, giving users a different kind of home screen experience, like displaying one massive recent emails live tile, without even launching an app. With the whole new live tile experience by the Windows Phone 8 providing fancy images, updated data’s and new colours giving a live feel to the users. So, it can be a bit busy as live update on your live tiles of your home screen of the WP8 giving an “online” feel so if that’s a problem then its your choice and your money, so, you have options to select one of the best.
So the choice of Selecting the best, then let’s Wrap-up.
We have provide the comparison and you have the options, so just selecting a fancy and adorable home screen display is now not a single option and with favourite user platform options too, choosing the iOS, Android or Windows Phone will be tough as even the hardware as well as the community support puts a good smart phone platform. With the Icons on the home screen helping for sure and if all the three
combined together can make one winner rather carrying all the three phones one at a time.
For update on these discussions on the latest of Microsoft, Apple, Google and the web like its news and its updates, you can now follow us on Twitter or even add to your Google+ circles or even like our Facebook page too.

Windows 8 Phone features, Windows 8 for Mobile Phones & Tablets
With the
competition getting strong between the OS phones of Microsoft, the Android and
the Apple, Windows Phone 8 introduced by Microsoft recently during its summit
events may just dominate the others a little. Comparing alongside the new iOS
6, WP8 can be a main adversary of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich and the Jelly Bean.
So, anyways as
the WP8 features are explained by the Microsoft’s Engineers, let’s see how this
next generation mobile has to offer and answer us “how well you are impressed
with this Windows Phone 8?
Windows 8 Phone Features
Before we go on
further into Main features of the Windows Phone 8, you need to know there is a
lot of comparison between the Microsoft’s mobile OS and the other OS’s.
Microsoft has developed Shared Windows Core making a compromise on the kernel,
the networking system, the file system, even the multimedia, the graphics
support too and some more others, were it is similar to various other
Windows-based devices. The operating system of Microsoft’s either be it the
mobile or the desktop is more inter-wined to the Android and the Chrome or the
OS X or the iOS.
Microsoft has
made the Shared Windows Core, making it easier of the developers, even the
end-users and the last the hardware makers like it, as it makes it smooth and
easy to transit from one Windows 8 to another W8 device.
Let’s see its Latest and the Greatest Hardware:
Microsoft has
made certain changes in its hardware making sure its Window Phone 7 and WP 7.5
smart phones has imposed certain restraints on the present OEMs as this will be
a good option where you can upgrade the software versions of WP devices in the
near future, this means OEMs using the single-core processors on WP7 or the
WP7.5 will offer only one kind of a display resolution.
The WP8 will be
similar to the present Android and iOS devices with Microsoft supporting dual
and multi core chipsets and with an addition to this Microsoft has offered two
display resolutions which are, 1280 x 768 and 1280 x 720, with default display
resolution being 800 x 480. It is a very good option for developers, where they
can adapt their own option of graphics and will work on Old and New apps
resolutions.
The WP8 users
will be very happy as it will support upgrades through microSD cards. It’s good
right?
Now let’s see Internet Browser:
As the world is
advancing the internet is also, as browser experience is upgraded by better
java scripting and with introduction of HTML5 it has put up a good option for
the present browsers supporting it. Microsoft’s mobile browser, the new version
for WP8 devices, the Internet Explorer 10 with the above upgrades is promised
to put up speedy performances, with the SmartScreen Anti-Phishing being a new
feature added to IE10 will block millions of malicious websites that to in real
time.
This Microsoft
browser will be faster compared to other products where it will put up good
competition among Samsung Galaxy S3, Apple’s iPhone 4S and the last HTC One X.
The Gaming Experience:
Sharing common
platforms on Windows 8 and WP8 the developers will be able to use their various
apps on both the OS and even sell their creations to the W8 and the WP8 device
owners. With the Native Code feature available with the Microsoft, developers
can cool down as they are now no need for bringing iOS and Android platform
products as the applications are in the WP digital store.
The Gaming
experience will now be common on W8 and WP8 devices as these devices supports DirectX
and gaming drivers of the rich graphics of apps and games will now work very
smoothly on PCs and Phones too
Sharing with NFC is it
better?
With the NFC
support, the developers are encouraged to use an additional interactive layer
to their apps and what WP8 with NFC support do is, it not only be used for
mobile payments but allows you to share stuffs between devices, hats off to
field communication tech for this feature. And now users are a tap away from
sharing their games and apps with others.
Heavy Wallet, is what you have?
Well Microsoft
will ease your Wallet, as mobile payments will be a lot better for everyone and
is ready to work with different carriers and providing solutions to mobile
payments.
The WP8 will be
supporting the credit and the debit cards and also adding up loyalty and
membership cards while with all these things very much a good feature it also
adds up the history of deals that you have attempted or purchased, a decent
option for users to have. The Wallet Hub offers third party integration, when
dealing with WP8 apps are purchased, but with carriers providing secure SIMs
and enabling the NFC for mobile payments will empty your wallet that was full
of banking cards. With the ISIS support coming
in 2013, sharing of more details in this matter is kept secret by Microsoft.
The May Technology by Nokia?
Surprisingly, a
map app is provided by Nokia to Microsoft next-gen mobile OS. While the WP8
Microsoft’s device, maps app supports the global NAVTEQ map data and offline
maps will be integrated by a feature called “map control” for the developers
and even has a turn by turn directions for WP8 apps. But 3D maps are a bit away
for available now.
WP8 for your Business?
For business
users WP handsets are not very popular, so Microsoft company has planned to
provide that enterprise environment by putting up a business app in the WP8
which includes encryption, secure boot and line of business (LOB) app,
supporting the device management. So this new office app by Microsoft in WP8
will come in handy to business users.
Finally the Smart Screen:
At a media
event, Microsoft’s WP guru, an engineer called Joe Belfiore unveiled that WP8’s
new Start Screen which uses Metro UI - live tile where users can customize
these tiles by resizing it and even personalize according to their needs, well
how did Microsoft do this? Well just put up few more random tiles to the Start
screen making it look like a “Smart Screen” on the WP8.
Other Extra features:
The engineer
from Microsoft, Belfiore did not reveal any more features but put up a surprise
that there are more features added to WP8, as it is making more interesting.
The release date was not confirmed, but we know that devices like Samsung,
Nokia, HTC and Huawei are all among the OEMs that are to be launched with WP8
devices later. But the bad news for older versions like the WP7 and WP7.5
owners is that there will be no upgrades to WP8 OS version but instead can
upgrade to WP7.8 version, but will bring the users some features of WP8 in
them.

Is there a surprise from Google at the Google I/O 2012
event?

There are plenty of announcements to be made by Google at this year’s annual developer conference at the Google I/O which is going to take place in San Francisco in may be June 27 – 29. We have already guessed what is expected at the Google I/O event and if don’t know, no worries we are about provide the information to you all.
Google I/O 2012 - Google Latest Gadgets
One of the
surprises is the Nexus 7 Tablet of the Google
We have already
confirmed about the Google’s first Nexus brand tablet will be made by Asus a
few weeks back and even about the Android tablet that is made of Asus too. With
the leaks of Google’s and Asus’s Nexus 7 documents, which said it’s going be
launched at the Google I/O this year. So this made the surprise a little unfair.
The Google Nexus7 tablet comes with a 7-inch display with NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip and with a
friendly budget price ranging $199 to $249. This Google’s Nexus tablet can’t be
rival of the iPad and not least of its versions, rather Google aims to adverse
the tablet business that can do some harm to the Android tablet ecosystem.
With the Google
approved Android versions, Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet priced around $199 was
running on this version and was the best selling tablet in the electronic
market. So this made everyone of the tablet makers go for Google’s approved
android version.
The second would
be Motorola Intel Devices with Google.
We know that in
May Google has already purchased Motorola and the Google-Motorola first smart
phones will be available in the stores. Strangely about this Google Motorola
devices there was no leaks mentioning them but we have already know Motorola
hinted at CES 2012 that there will be a multi-device deal with the Intel. So
assuming this we can expect Intel chips in Google Motorola smart phone devices
in the future.
The star of the
show will probably be the Nexus 7 of Google and it will update its future
hardware plans and also mentioned was it won’t be providing full treatment to
Motorola but still will be working on most of the android based Motorola
devices.
The new Jelly Bean an Android next version
This Android Jelly Bean OS will be on the new Google’s Nexus 7 and it is the most talked
word in the streets, that it is a successor of the present Ice Cream Sandwich.
But the confusion is, “Is Jelly Bean an Android 5.0 or Android 4.1?” A leak
tells us that it is going to be Android 4.1 is called as Jelly Bean, so this
means it will be an update of the previous Ice Cream Sandwich android version
not a fresh Android OS.
Google would
love to see that people adopt the ICS on to their Android handsets and tablets,
but currently only 7% ICS is running on the Android devices and most of the
remaining still on Android 2.3 Gingerbread version. With the launching of Jelly
Bean Android 4.1, the Android device makers can update their old versioned
devices.
A Virtual Assistant called “Majel”
With the Apple
launching Siri in last year October it challenged every mobile business makers
to equal its voice based virtual assistant and come up with the best to beat
it. So Samsung came up with “S Voice” in the Galaxy S3 and LG with a “Quick
Voice”. In near future HTC is going to release its very own virtual assistant.
We are going to
expect Google will launch its virtual assistant in its Android devices, and
many reports say that a codename “Majel” will be the virtual assistant and if
its true, it can be demoed at the Google I/O. Developers will feel free to use
the assistant in their apps, guessing by this it can be unveiled in this week
itself. Way to go Google.
3D and Offline Maps from Google
On June 7 few
days ago from Apple’s WWDC 2012 developer’s conference, Google has hosted a
special event on “Google Maps”, as the purpose was to make an early
announcement and be the first to do it, and Google just did that by announcing
an advanced 3D mapping system and even unveiled its Google Offline Maps but
kept secret of mentioning the release dates, so expecting the Google products
that we just know can be unveiled at this year’s Google I/O event.
Mobile Payments using Google Wallet 2.0
A top three U.S.
carriers are trying to sort out its mobile payment solution and even found one
called the “ISIS” and with the Microsoft launch it’s Wallet Hub on its new
Windows Phone 8 devices, Google is certainly not backing away as it is also set
to release it’s very own “Google Wallet 2.0” at this year’s Google I/O event
2012.
Android at Home and Everywhere
The Android OS
is not just available on smart phones and tablets also can be used in other activities
too. At this year’s Google I/O the Android giant is all set to reveal the full
details of its plans that relate the Android to be the other part of our lives,
which are as work, home and other things or purposes. Hope these apps make our
present life just easy.
Cloud Service called Google laaS for Enterprises
The Microsoft
and the Amazon, with their cloud services the Azura of Microsoft’s and EC2 of
the Amazon’s are going to be challenged by the Google’s “laaS”, an
Infrastructure Service, where it would allow companies renting virtual servers
or a storage space kind of thing, but not a big deal to end-users but certainly
we would appreciate the laaS offers. This Google laaS for Enterprises will also
be unveiled at this year’s Google I/O.
The Offline
Google Drive
Talking about
cloud computing for enterprises, at this Google I/O, Google comes up with an
idea called Google Drive Offline as it is a much awaited product for the
present Google’s regular consumers of the online services.
The Project Google Glasses
We have already
seen a demo of the Google’s Project Glass and it become an important product
for the top executives of Google and is also being paired along with the future
Android devices. This Google‘s Project Glass will take you to a virtual reality
level, letting you experience a future technology and can expect this at the
Google I/O event 2012.
An OS and a Browser from Chrome
Chrome Browser
is one of the best internet browsers and has put up a good challenge in the
race of the top browsers, but Chrome OS is way behind the Microsoft’s Windows
and even the Apple’s X in the desktop environment. Google certainly has no
plans to scrap its Chrome OS and or even not merge it with the Android. The
updates will be available of the Chrome OS and even the Chromebooks too.
We will get this
Chrome’s latest update in the Google’s I/O event of 2012.
The long awaited
Google TV
Mr. Eric Schmidt
in last year 2011 announced that Google TV would be the coolest TV by this
year’s summer, but it didn’t happen. This Google TV product might be a very
important product for Google as it can be an another revenue generating idea.
And out there is a real tough competition in TV market and Google want to
revolutionize by introducing the Google TV to the consumers and not behind is
the Apple’s own rumoured iOS HDTV.
So, we may
expect in near future of Google vs Apple TV business battle. In this year’s
Google I/O we may get the overall details of the Google TV, we hope it
impresses you.
Available of Larry Page
Larry Page, CEO
of Google is down with some health issues and will not make it at Google I/O
2012 event, the reports say. Not revealing about his full details of health
issues, Google just put up a word of his un-availability. This secret topic
reminds us of the great “Steve Jobs” who had the same health issues.
Hope Mr. Page
gets well and makes it to the Google I/O and makes his Android developers and
fans of the Search Giant happy.
The Android Pinterest App
For Google this
topic is not so interesting as it has its own social network with the help of
other web are trying to market it. But the rumour is the Android app will be
announcing its official launch at this Google I/O 2012 and will be great for
its Android users, who are active till now can show some more love for this
Pinterest Android app worldwide.
We have put up
the list up and you know what will be the latest updates and announcements at
this year Google I/O 2012 and we will be soon updating the after events
highlights, so just be tuned and we will provide you the latest info from
Google’s Android, TV, Chrome and the other evenly products that are to be
launched in this week’s
Google’s news updates.

Project Glass - Close to reality by Google Glasses, Video & Review

Project Glass, Google’s augmented reality glasses, has released an impressive video of these Google Glasses. On seeing the video itself, has made us to buy those Glasses immediately.
What does Augmented reality
means? Well it is a concept of overlaying or altering what we see. On wearing
these Google Glasses you can watch a video without ever titling your head and
more over reading news on the go is more comfortable. Wow, this is amazing
right. Well the concept is going to be demonstrated by this end of the year by
Google.
Project Glass - Google Glasses
We have listed some of its
features that will be on the Google Glasses, as per the video on Google
augmented Glasses. Here are some of them below:
Well how will this going to Work?
One of the members of the Project
Glass team, named Babak Parviz has developed contact lens, in which pixels are
inserted in them. It could be a daily wear contact lens, where a Near Field
Communication system is built in the housing above the right eye of the frame,
as seen in the images, it sends video signals wirelessly. Each day could be a
very interesting start, with the contact lens with pixels in it is used by the
Project Glasses.
In the video of the Project
Glasses, the wearer looks away from whatever is happening before him. May be
the small hole on the right eye housing of the frame, is the camera and takes
images in front of your eye. If this does that, with glasses responding to eye
gestures is a great technology at present. It should be a sensor or a camera directing
directly to your eyeball to detect the gestures.
In the images, we don’t see one
thing that is the audio? May be there’s a hidden ear piece or might be in the
housing on the right eye of the Google Glasses, but if it doesn’t have them
then the conservations cannot be kept private. How about a Bluetooth headset?
But seeing the Google Glasses being very thin, there can’t be more space
available for it and also how about the Battery
too? How can it be charged?
Available Features as per the video showed are:
Seeing the video is very exciting
but we cannot get any closer hands on the Google Glasses, but will demonstrate
as if you are really seeing it closely.
Using only his head gestures, the
wearer Checks In the food truck
while standing with his friend. The other feature is the Video Calling, it’s amazing to see the wearer transmitting the
video to his girlfriend and she is seen on a smaller image at the bottom of the
screen. It cannot be at that high quality video but will differ in original.
Before that he gets the call first, from his girlfriend, where he tells the
Google Glasses to stop the music
from playing further, but was a
surprise as we thought it was the background music that was playing.
In the start of the video of
about Google Glasses, we see he gets to know about his calendar with appointments and
present events in it, even gets the messages displayed and replied, it’s really
amazing right. But the voice command is ok, but will it understand the exact
pronounce in traffic or in crowds?
On further, the Google Glasses
wearer takes a picture of a graffiti art on the move by a voice command, but
sources say that it might have a button to take
pictures. And he also shares them on to his “all my circles”. Finally it
displays the Google map direction too, awesome right.
So, do you want these amazing
Google Glasses? And are you willing to put on contact lens with pixels in it?
Will you be ashamed for wearing weird glasses like this? But has a different
kind of style, like people wearing these kinds of glasses in a fantasy movie.
If the Project Glasses of Google releases them we be very excited of its price
range and are you excited to get them?
